In recent years we have seen many advancements in the field of gaming that have changed the way we interact with games. The new controlling devices include Xbox’s Kinect, PlayStation’s Move motion controller and Nintendo Wii. All of these devices gave us new ways of enjoying games however none of them has been able to replace the ultimate game controlling method i.e buttons.
Now a new device has been created called Stinky game controller PC that allows users to control games using their foot. The Stinky game controller is an accessory for PC based games that features four buttons which can be pressed by movement of the foot. Users can assign different keyboard keys that they want to use during the game to Stinky keys using a dedicated software and that’s it. When a user plays the game he or she can simply move the foot that is rested on the device all the time in order to push the desired button. User can just lean the foot in the direction of the button, for example if he wants to press the front button he can lean his foot towards that direction.
Buttons are location on the front, back, right and left and can be pressed by leaning of the foot in that direction. Stinky game controller features springs that make it easier for users to press the buttons and rest their foot on the controller when they are doing nothing with it. Press the button is also made easy by the springs. Although Stinky has 4 buttons users can configure up to 16 with game supported modifiers.
The Stinky game controller is compatible with a wide range of games available for the PC as it only emulates the buttons found on the keyboard. For example in a shooter game in which you need to throw bombs using the Alt key while operating a gun – you can set the Alt key to the back button on stinky and throw bombs using the Stinky while operating the gun with usual way.
Stinky looks pretty promising and users can get used to it after playing with it for a few hours. Once you get used to it you can use Stinky without even thinking about it as with any other game controller.
