The world’s largest search engine’s Google+ social networking website which is Facebook’s biggest competitor hasn’t taken off the way Google had wanted it too. According to several studies the social networking which has millions registered members is only used by fraction of the total users who signed up for it.
Although Google+ isn’t everyone’s social network of choice it certainly has many features that make it better than Facebook in some ways. One such feature is Google+ hangouts that allows a group of users including friends, colleagues and even strangers to chat with each other simultaneously. Google+ hangouts is undoubtedly the most popular and used feature of Google and now it has become even better.
In a recent announcement the Social networking site introduced a new feature for Google+ Hangouts users that will allow them to take screen captures of their fun moments with friends during the multi-user video calls. Using the screen capture feature is very simple and can be done without distraction during the hangouts.
Here’s how it works.
1 ) Start a video chat normally and there you will have an option to launch the Hangouts Capture app.
2 ) Simply launch the Hangouts Capture app and you will see a capture icon below with camera glyph on it. Just click on it to capture the moment.
3 ) To access the screenshots taken with Hangouts Capture app you can view them inside the Hangout, in your photo albums as well as on the Hangout post for that particular hangout.
Concerned about your privacy and not knowing someone is taking screen captures of you during Google Hangouts? Worry not as you will be notified when someone has launched the Hangouts Capture app or taken a photo. Also the screen captures are only visible to attendees of the hangout.
You can find the Hangouts Capture app whenever you start a Google+ Hangout. It is currently rolling out worldwide and you will get it in next few hours if you haven’t already.
